Hi Graeme
Interesting point about the unfavourable weather on 27 Mar. According to the FAA 221 history, one of their crews (Uffz Schaefer & Ltn Schreiber) was attacked by 5 British scouts and fired of 650 rounds in their defence. This one has long bugged me as I can find no British correlation - but this is not surprising considering what RFC Communiques relates. The FAA 221 history must have the date wrong.
Cheers Russ
However those one the ground had to soldier on; rain, shine & snow - British cavalry (5 Cav Div) following up German withdrawal seized Villers Faucon; taking 25 pow and 4 machine-guns.
