Pfalz DIIIa at war!

2 books for you Pfalz fans if you don't already have them. Pfalz DIIIa at war! Both are written by Greg Van Wyngarden. Volumes 1 and 2 and released as Centenary Data Files #173 and 174. I can't begin to describe how good these 2 books are! The majority of photos, from his and other collections, show many details I did not know. I will be noting these in future posts, on my Pfalz DIII thread, in the Replica aircraft section. There are many great color profiles done by Ronnie Bar and corresponding pictures to back them up. If you like the Pfalz DIIIa , I only have two more words about these books. BUY THEM!

Great job Greg!

Thanks, Tony M! I really, really appreciate your kind comments. For some reason, the books haven't made much of a splash in our community as yet, but hopefully they fulfill a need. It's only too bad that Ray Rimell is basically retiring and that these may be the last Datafiles, or at least the last for some time. Ray's amazing string of publications has added greatly to our collective knowledge, and his steady production of magazines and DF's will be sorely missed.

Your quite welcome, Greg! Thanks again to you for bringing such an outstanding amount of photos into these 2 books. Sorry to hear about Ray but not surprised. Unfortunately, the vast majority of researchers are not spring chickens and are retired, retiring or passed away.

I got rather enthused about the Pfalz only in the last few years. I researched and read everything I could on the Fokker Dr1 for almost 40 years

Best Regards,

Tony M.
