Fokker E III

Also found this rare filmshot.

I think this is the one built by Jim Appleby in 1962 for the San Diego Aerospace Museum. If so, unfortunately it was lost in the fire in 1978.

Anybody knows what drawings Appleby used?

You must have mixed the links. The link you posted was just another of these modern replicas out of look, scale and performance.

Here is the TAVAS Fokker E III. Unfortunately these guys have not posted much of their flights. Somebody please lend them a camera, and make longer movieshots. Also tell them to film from inside the cockpit.

I would like to add a link to the newsletter of TAVAS were Andrew talks about the Fokker and its behaviour in the air. Very interesting reading.
