Cool.
One question: how do you not set fire to the wing struts when you light off the rockets?

Thumbs up

Videos of the rockets firing please!!!!!!

Are the rockets to scale to the size of the plane?

Awesome!

Of course, the rockets are duds and Will not set fire to anything.
They are full scale as the aircraft.

If I remember from photos, the originals had metal shrouds around the struts. I bet, some still set the plane on fire however.

Nope, fire to the struts or wings wasn't going to happen.

The rockets just don't generate enough heat over long enough periods to do any damage - and the aircraft is already moving pretty quickly, dissipating any heat that would make it to the struts.

The rocket's stick could get stuck in the tube and it wouldn't be a fire hazard from the exhaust.

They put metal mounts on the struts because it was the easiest way to do it.

Wildly inaccurate even if they would have had a good aiming system, they are definitely super cool looking!

Regarding aiming and the way to fire those things, here are some hints:

MvR is reputed to have said "when the enemy fills your windscreen all his maneuvers are rubbish" or words to that effect. Would that apply to a balloon and Prier rockets?!?!
