There was recently some talk about the only black combat pilot of WWI - Eugene Bullard. There seemed to be a lot of ambiguity left about his career. Thanks to an amazing on-line invention called a 'Search Engine' I found this interesting and quite detailed tidbit:

Thanks for that note. I looked at those webpages and can say that everything i have read about Buyllard seems to be there and then some. There is also a photo of the man and his monkey i have never seen before.
