About to go to Dayton Air Force Museum soon!

In a few weeks I'll be going to the Dayton Museum for the 2nd time. This time I'm bringing a proper camera to take better pics of everything. One of the aircraft that impressed me the most was the Caproni Ca.3.It looked like a piece of art than heavy bomberI will post the photos here for everyone.Maybe this time I'll purchase that Guillow Fokker Dr.II also hope to attend the next Dawn Patrol event.

Tons of photos to be expected!

The tours on the Base are back on again. You should go Friday and take the restoration shop tour

Hello,

I'm surprised that the Caproni is still there. I had read in Ray Rimell's World War One Survivors, published in 1990, that the aircraft was on loan for 15 years in exchange for restoration work. I haven't kept up on such things in recent years, so I must have missed the news about it remaining in Dayton. I'm glad to hear it, as someday I would really like to visit the USAF Museum.

I'll look forward to your photos!

Yup she's still there the last time I was there.I'll take plenty of pics of the Caproni once I'm there.

Thanks I will enjoy this trip againI was impressed at how much Osprey books and other material there was!I couldn't decide and regret not picking up one I haven't got yetI will buy plenty of stuff and report back on my findings.

On another note if everything goes well to plan I will go to the Dawn Patrol this year

I forgot to bring it upSadly due to some problems we couldn't be able to go this summer. They said we could possibly go September hopefully to the Dawn Patrol. If not than I'll see if my friend will take me since he wants to go too.

I really hope I do make it to the Dawn Patrol because I've seen many wonderful things there from videos and pics.

Wish me luck

Willi,

Is there a Dawn Patrol this September or is it back to every other year and will be in 2016?
