What were WW1 aircraft made of? (what kind of wood)
I am doing some research, specifically on the Dh4. I have found info that the spars were made of mahogany. Was the whole aircraft made of mahogany?
Were all A/C made of the same type wood, say on the British side? For example, was the Be2 series made of the same wood as the Se5 or Dh4? Thanks for the info. |
