Handley Page on Lemnos

In June or July of 1917 a Handley Page 100 arrived at the airbase at Lemnos they later made a raid on Constantinople, what happend to them & did any others arrive?

I dont know if any served in Macedonia, but there was one HP0/400 C9681 that was used in Palestine in late (Sept) 1918. The Australians of 1 AFC received it and took it into their inventory. It was flown by Ross Smith ( he leading ace in the region ) and mainly used to show off to the Arabs the power and projection of British airpower. One of the HP's missions included landing at Azrak and impressing the Arabs with its sheer bulk. It was also used as a transport and as a bomber. During an attack on Deraa, Smith bombed out a communications centre and the Dera airfield was bombed using the HP.

Kenneth Savory was the pilot of that 0/100 from the UK to Lemnos. (2000 miles) In the autumn he was Squadron Commander of A (Naval) Squadron conducting anti-submarine operations off the Yorkshire coast; and in October he took Naval A to France where it joined the 41st Wing (a pre-runner of the Independant Force, RAF).
