WINGS OVER FLANDERS FIELDS : Review Armchairgeneral.com
WINGS OVER FLANDERS FIELDS Epic Immersive WW1 Flight Simulator.
For anyone interested in flight sims here's a new and pretty much a glowing review on Armchairgeneral.com
http://www.armchairgeneral.com/wings...ame-review.htm
“Simply put, Wings Over Flanders Fields is the upgraded edition of what is arguably the best World War I flight simulator on the market. "

A great review for a great sim!
Many, if not most simulations are lacking something that is hard to put a finger on -
a personal depth, a deep emotional involvement - the feeling that you are really there in that world as a part of it. The incredible historical richness (over 6200 aircraft skins!), and the fact that many other aircraft are really underway and not a handful getting spawned, when you get to a designated area - the whole way WOFF is designed gives me a deep and full immersion which I couldn't find anywhere else since a long time.

It hard to top the review or add to Olham's comments but if you have any interest in WW1 aviation, and would like to simulate the life of a Great War pilot, then your ship has arrived.
WOFF is as good as it gets. Highly recommended.

You can definitely 'live' in this sim, in a way I haven't quite found with any of my other combat flight simulators.

For me what sets WOFF apart from other combat flight sims, whether WW1 or WW2, are the incredibly immersive campaign system and challenging AI.
Other combat flight sims may have prettier graphics and (arguably) truer flight models, but no other sim I've played in 25 years of gaming comes close to the richness of WOFF's single-player experience.

It is indeed an awesome game. I just installed it yesterday.
I remember Red Baron II full patched with "Western Front" was my favourite historical sim. I hope WOF is going to stand up the same level or higher.
I went through training before joining the front and I nearly got killed in three occasion, crashing my plane on landing.
I went to the front and I got lost in the clouds. The game helps you with an automatic map navigation. The atmosphere is very immersive, the sounds of the guns below, the flack popping close to your plane, the sudden spotting of planes far away.. friend? Foe?
It really grips you. Very nicely done.

Thank you Zif we aim to immerse you in the war around you, just to give you a small 'taste' of what it must have been like.
