Christmas truse
Since it is 100 yrs ago to the day on xmas day soldiers on both sides put their weapons and differences aside and celebrated christmas day together i wonder if any tv channels are going to air joyeux noel ?? (hope i spelt that right) lol i know not avionic but still a historic first world war epic!!

You spelt it correct  Its a great moment to remember and an important one.It wont be commemorated much here in the states though.The History Channel will only show a documentary of it on the 22nd at 6 a.m.  Many of us here will surely remember it and as long as people do it wont be forgotten.

It is also worth pointing out, that whilst the higher commands of both sides forbade future Christmas fraternisation; both sides none the less desisted from shelling and snipping on the subsequent Christmas's, indeed often for several days either side.
Indeed if one looks at the new The Sky Their Battlefield II, there is no air activity recorded for 25 Dec of 1915, 1916 & 1917.

I never knew about that.Very interesting!Its amazing to think that there was a mutual understanding even in the skies.I would love to know more about the airman on how the celebrated like documentation and photographs
