Bloody Paralyser - the Handley Page Bombers of the First World War

Firstly - hello to everyone again after a very, very long absence. For those that remember me, I basically lost enthusiasm in aviation for various reasons (mostly from working in the industry in one particular job I didn't enjoy), but fortunately it has returned - and just in time too. I have been working on a book on the WW1 Handley Page bombers for a long time, but finally hope to have it done and with the Publishers by September, so am currently conducting a 'big push' to make sure it is done in time. I'm always on the look-out for new information, especially first-hand accounts from the crew, if anyone can recommend any? There were a good number published which I have detailed below - if anyone knows of any others, especially unpublished ones they may, please let me know;

Green Balls
Night Bombing with the Bedouins
Diary of a Night Bomber Pilot
The Annals of 100 Squadron
Night Raiders of the Air
The Big Bombers
Handley Page Bombers of the First World War

In the meantime, I have attached a photo of the 'first' cover, it will likely change but at the moment it still looks fantastic

Rob,

Now this should be a good read.

I am looking forward to this book although I originally thought the title referred to Great War cocktails.

Regards
John

Good evening Rob!

I'm glad to learn that the book will be published in September at last! I ordered a copy of "Bloody Paralyser" already in July last year and I was going to cancel my order because the publishing was postponed monthly ...

Can't wait to get my copy

Best regards

Stefan

Lightbulb Interesting indeed...

Hello!

I'll put the book onto the "I-will-buy-it-as-soon-as-I-have-the-money-list"!
But I'm optimistic to find some money soon...

Thanks all - i'm absolutely determined to have it done as soon as possible, but still be a quality publication, and done right - I feel it's important to the men that flew them, built them and kept them flying that it's done so

You'll get it and get it the way you envision it. We trust you! That's why I ordered mine already, too.

It has been a pleasure to work with Rob as well as commission other book ideas by this fab and up and coming writer. Also, I LOVE the title!

If you should have any ideas that would make great books, please do e-mail me: j.slater (at) fonthillmedia.com

With very best wishes,

Jay

Some unsolicited advice, and therefore worth what you pay for it!

In the long run you'll be happier (and so will your readers) if you get it right instead of getting it right away (!) Some publishers are understandably anxious to meet deadlines, but a history book that's not related to an anniversary or other event will do just as well if it's lateish....

I thank you...
