Desmond Herlouin de Burgh

I'm currently looking at the service of de Burgh once again. However, I'm not as interested in re-visiting his much-covered time with 40 Squadron but am looking for some additional information on his time as an observer with 14 Squadron.

The reason I'm looking at 14 Squadron is that it's unclear to me whether his time in the Middle East was actually spent with the squadron. His service records refer to de Burgh being attached to 14 Sqdn RFC on 27 Feb 1916 but I gather that by June 1916 he was simultaneously in Alexandria and also with No.1 Squadron at home having somehow also been attached to 17 Sqdn??

I'd be interested in any expert on 14 Squadron pointing me towards a reliable history of this squadron, and any reference to de Burgh therein.
