Original newsreel film: RFC/German pilots, groundcrew airfields
Hi, everyone,
Can anybody tell me if there are any newsreel footage of WW1 pilots, ground crew, aircraft and airfields available on DVD or video? I have viewed the A.G. Fokker films showing MvR, Ltn Hans Klein, and others, and would like to know if there are other footage available. Were the photographs of(eg) Major Lanoe G. Hawker, VC, DSO;Captain J. O. Andrews, both of 24Sqn RFC, ar Bertangles Major Edward Mannock, VC, & Lt H. G. Clements, (40 or74 Sqn, RFC), or Captain Albert Ball, VC, taken from newsreel film, or from still camera's? Thanks to anyone who can help, Strutter15. (PS: don't know where the red lines have appeared from!!
