Manometer gauge - is it from aircraft?

Hi guys, what do you think of this manometer gauge, does it have any remote chance to be from an aircraft? It's quite large and heavy. Thanks!

I suspect that this is a scale, not an altimeter. Note the "kilogrammes", which, IIRC is older french spelling of kilogram.

Ooops, see Joe's comment below, I think he is on the right track.

I think it is likely to be an air presssure guage for a pre-WWI to mid WWI Era, French automobile with gas tank that has to be pressurized by pumping a hand-pumped air pump. Cannot tell from the photo, what size it is. But would not rule our, aircraft use..Just don't recall seeing that one.

Joe's thought about it being from an automobile sounds like a good one. One other possibility is that it could be from many different kinds of industrial machines. I did a search on manometre metallique bourdon and came up with a very large number of hits from old ones to brand new ones - all of which seem to be fore industrial machine applications.

Here is an old one very similar to yours but rated for a much higher pressure.
