Balloon unit "at Oostkerke" 1915
Dutch reported sighting of a Zeppelin shape cable balloon operated all day from different locations at the "Lissewege canal" near Oostkerke, on 28th March 1915.
Also reported different aircraft took off from that same location flying towards the sea. Can anyone help with exact location(s), (balloon) unit(s)? thanks/Danke/merci/vriendelijk dank Jeroen |

Jeroen,
the 'Lissewege canal' would be the canal Bruges-Zeebrugge, and Oostkerke is not located there, it should be Koolkerke. Oostkerke is located near the canal Brugge-Sluis. regards, Cnock |

Yes I am aware about that canal, reportedly at "Lisseveghe" in the original tekst. As the observations were made from Sluis (churchtower or fortifications?), it seems to me more likely that the unit was "near" Oostkerke, either at Leopoldskanaal/Schipdonkvaart or Damsevaart/Sluis-Brugge kanaal.
