"Blue Max" bluray--any problems?
I've gotten two so far, and neither will play, or even load. My player is 4 years old and has the latest firmware update. It plays "Game of Thrones" season 3 bluray with ease, so I don't think it's the player.
The Blue Max Blu-ray: Limited Edition to 3000
Anyone else having a problem?

Blue Max
Why, Oh Why! Won’t they release a special “Blue Max” WITH the featurette on the making of the movie. I saw this on TV when the movie was first released and have been trying to get it ever since. It must be somewhere in the 20th Century vaults!

Still no special features The production of this movie is great. Its a shame we can't watch anything that would discuss it in detail!

The commentary track is quite good
All about movies in the 60's, the actors, the stunt work, locations and the facts of the story vs novel and history. "Pfalz" is pronounced correctly.
Turns out the director, John Guillerman, flew in Bomber Command, so he went all out on the flying stuff.
And with a transfer like this, you don't care if they didn't include the MGM promo.

Let's see. Dad took me to see this in the theater when it came out in 1966. I was 5-years-old. I've owned this thing dubbed from a VHS rental, a genuine VHS, a videodisc, the book, the soundtrack CD, an NTSC DVD and a PAL DVD. As you might guess, the Blu-ray has already been ordered!

...and it is an excellent print. The flight scenes (and a certain actress) really come alive.
