what strikes me is that everyone in the picture is dressed in civilian clothes and it seems to be a festive occasion . But there are no trace of any uniform military or political rmilitary medals or flying badges or badges from any organisation. could we really be sure these are flyers or german flyers for that matter ?
As for the time since they all have left their youth behind it could possibly be from the 1930 this

Oh 1928, there was an earlier post on this site that related to this meeting, which I give here:

This may have been mentioned in an earlier Bishop thread (I couldn't keep up with all of them) but has anyone commented on the story which appeared in "The Courage of The Early Morning" pp.174-175. The author, Bishop's son, describes his father's 1928 visit to Berlin, and his warm reception by Udet, Goering,et al. Apparently he was made the first and only foreign member of the German Ace Association.
Is this factual? If so, it would appear that his German opponents thought more of him then some of this site's members flying their computers in 2001!

Terry: You are right, Terry. THere is even a photo in Chadderton's "Hanging a Legend" which shows Bishop seated between Goering and Udet. I've read that that 'Eagles' asssociation thought more of Bishop than they did of Hermann.

there is 2 photos in Udets book 'ace of the iron cross'. 1 of them is Rickenbacker, the other is, yep,
Billy Bishop. both signed by the pictures subjects to Udet.

We are still looking for the Udet and Goering photo. So far as I go, the only person I can identify is Bishop, seated. Bishop did become an honourary member of the German Ace Association in 1928, and the only Entente Ace to be given membership.
