LZ 129 Hindenburg Zeppelin Model

Hello all,
I wanted you all to check out my Hindenburg model. Check it out here...
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...7tgQvJzot_HiGw

It's a 1:720 scale plastic Hindenburg model. Its painted with a military green paint. The only thing I have a problem with is the decals. They didn't come with swastikas to put on the tail fins.

Surely it wouldn't be too difficult to paint your own swastikas on?

Try painting them onto clingfilm or the cellophane used for wrapping books, keep trying until you get some swastikas that you are happy with, maybe using a knife to scrape away and sharpen the outlines. Then cut out the plastic and apply.

Some kit makers won,t include them for ethnic reasons and some people need to realize it was all just part of history.

I agree, they had it as the Olympia version of the ship. Disappointing if you ask me, but I can live with it.

I hate to see this kind of occasional sent away to the models section. I really enjoyed seeing it and even though I am a modeler, I rarely read that section.

What I would REALLY like to see is a WW-1 observation balloon set up for hot air we could fly at fly-ins on a tether.
What a fantastic sight to see floating over a fly-in!
