Captured Sopwith 1B1 of SOP107

G'day. I've been registered here for a while but have mainly lurked so apologies in advance for my sins.

I'm currently building the 1/48 Roden Sopwith 1B1 and plan to complete it as the captured aircraft of SOP107 as shown in plates 78 & 79 of the Windsock datafile Vol 2.

Looking at the photos and a couple of other images I've "almost" convinced myself that this a/c is in silver dope. However study of plate 78 gives me the impression that the upper surface of the lower wing and also the elevator are perhaps painted in PC10 or a french dark green/brown equivalent?
Photos of this aircraft from the web showing it draped in foliage are rather inconclusive as to the colour of the opposite surfaces. The upper wing would seem to be in silver (or CDL)
I would assume that perhaps this wing and elevator were replacements after damage?
Any help appreciated.
BTW I'm not entirely happy with the shade of blue in the kit decals but I can live with it (after some repainting of the winged serpent with yellow detail)

cheers John Hassall.
