Udet movie connection
I got cranky when watching part of The Longest Day (which gets a D for technical accuracy, maybe even an F+) this afternoon. Pips Priller is introduced as an Osrfront Jagdflier mit 132 Abschusse when of course he spent his entire career in the west and was the leading Abschusser in NW Europe, 101 total (c. 90 by Juni 1944.)
Anyway... I got to perusing IMDB about other TLD thespians. Werner Hinz, poorly cast as Rommel (whose son just died, boy am I wandering) was stepfather of Dinah Hinz whose mother was Ernst Udet's paramour Ehmi Bessel. Is that clear enough?
