OMG, what Bavarian cretin has done this?!?!? But I imagine the public will like it better than an historic scheme. The workmanship does look very nice.

My Gallery
Check the ORA FB page... there are a couple more photos of the paint in progress.

Should be a super looking machine when completed.

I would love to see more on the D.Va painting, but I do not do FaceSmook.

Why not just post it on their own web site? I thought having ones own web site was for posting this type of news info ....

Heheheh, I tease because the Bavs do blue on white, while the Pomeranians (my wife's family background) do white on blue. Is this the old Star Trek (white/black vs black/white)?!? At least these were allies.

oh, and if my "other son" Connie (a Bavarian, of course) sees this, you could have told me. But I still root for Beyern Munich.

Here is a picture of Hans Böhning's Albatros D.III (detail of a little bit bad line-up picture) when he was with Jasta 36 in Summer 1917.

Here you can see also the same painting which he later used on his Albatros D.Va of Jasta 76b.

Regards

Rainer

Notice that the rudder has been re-shaped to a more accurate outline also.
