To be honest I am an WW1 infantry buff, with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment my main interest, and know little of the RFC during the Great War.
However, I am reading the book
Under the Guns of the German Aces which no doubt you all know about. In it there are two former Royal Warwicks who transferred to the RFC and were shot down. 2nd Lt
William Thomas Price of 48th Squadron was shot down by Lother Von Richthofen on 9/5/17 and the other was Lt Arthur Darly Whitehead of 60 squadron, shot down by
Werner Voss on 11/3/17.
I would like to do an article for the "Friends of the Fusiliers Museum (Royal Warwickshire) newsletter concering incidents concerning Royal Warwicks officers who served in the RFC.
Can any person give me advice where I can obtain more information or supply me with any interesting stories.
Thanks
Terry
