Gentlemen,
I'm happy to say I'm in the final stages of the book. It should be at the publisher by the end of the month. For those of you interested, I was not able to answer all the questions we have, but found and located most of the former aerodromes (the exact one of Martincourt remains a mystery). A few units remain partially in the fog of time, but, they are just a few. Some of the information on the creation of some of these units will look very diffferent as well.
There will be some new information in it as well concerning claims
So far we identified :
- Boelcke's victory 1 May 1916
- von Althaus victory 1 May 1916
- Who shot down
Otto Parschau
- Confirmed one of Boelcke's unconfirmed victories
- Boelcke's victory 13 March 1916
- Boelcke's victory 27 June 1916
Also we found a combat between Boelcke and Guynemer and with a lot of detail.
With a helping hand from my friends ! And some interesting discussions with other authors and historians on the matter.
Publication comes in January.
Johan
