The French Army regularly showed footage in the cinemas during WW1. This is No.44 of Les annales de la guerre [January 1918]. Together with other interesting footage it shows a LVG C.V reconnaissance plane that landed completely intact in French territory. Place and time are given as Catigny, Oise 27 November 1917.
The German military markings were hastily painted over with the French markings and the machine was flown to Villacoublay.
The footage can be found
here. The LVG part starts at 2:32.
