Cheapo Bench brake

FROM SUPERCUB: The duning guys are masters of cheap....but it just may work for your use...
What I like about it is the design is drawn on a napkin; other than CAD this is my kind of drafting. What I liked about the design was the pivot. I made the pivot from a bolt and it is removable for easy breakdown and storage. The only change I made was to make all the pieces from 1/4" angle iron rather than the "U" channel shown. Here's a picture showing the brake in action

The scale is used as a shim to bring things a bit more level. This is pretty easy to build and you might have the materials in your scrap pile. I can make bends as accurately as needed. I have bent the channels for the tail ribs and lots of shorter "U" bends used all over the project. Let me know if you need any close up pictures if you decided to build one your self.
