Wintgens 1st After action??

Does any know have or know of the existence of Wintgen's after action report (and the Eindecker/forward firing synchronized kill) describing the first kill with the Fokker E. I 2/15 on July 1 1915? after action reports describing the combat???

i have most boelcke and immelman after actions but Wintgen's from July 1 is showing to be elusive

Hi Matt,

C&C Vol26 No2 "The Forgotten Ace" talks about the action some. Have you seen this article?

the only thing that confuses me is how we are told over and over again how eindecker pilots, at first atleast, were not allowed over the enemy lines in fear of the synchronizer device to be captured.. and Wintgens claims to be far over French lines... is it just because he was new to the area and lost track in the fight??
