sure about the "new " manufactured Mercedes engine ? Or is it the engine found years ago in a Belgian scrap container ?

That isn't the one Jerry had. His was a sub scale replica and I think went to Florida. It also did NOT have the original type engine. I think it had what looked like a Cirrus with the cylinders upright (NOT sure what it was, but it was NOT a Mercedes)

Both look like really nice planes though, and I really miss Jerry's D-5a replica. It was a NEAT plane.

Rumor I heard was that he contracted TVAL for one, but his money problems started before it was ready. May be wrong.
