I am too fat and old to fall fast.
http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/im...lies/smile.gif I actually wanted one of the younger, thinner more realistic looking guys to take over but it was so impromptu I had to do it myself. I wanted to be the "director" with the megaphone in the shot rather than an actor but we ran out of time and people...had to get 'er done with what we had.
That was take two regarding the boot...Ian was too gentle the first time and just dropped it on my shoulder. I told him to throw it up in the air and bam, it hit right on my noggin. What is kind of funny to me in retrospect is the boot and those hobnails. I could have put blanks in the 03 (probably for the Army in France the M1917 would have been more appropriate but we did not have one. But was concerned that the folks putting up the airplanes and those still working with the Canuck/Jenny might get startled, some of the volunteer got post air fair Canuck/Jenny rides as our OX-5 is now, finally purring.
Our next project for Nov will be more planned, etc....and probably won't turn out as well as this one.
I wish more people would do this kind of stuff now that we have the technology, it is great fun, and I think adds to the mystique and flair of the period.
