Now that I am nearly half-way through the layout, it is probably time to tell you about American Military Aircraft 1908-1919 by Bob Casari. Bob researched this book for about 60 years (!) and I started working on it in November. The layout should be finished some time in February, then we will figure out a print schedule. It will be printed some time this year. This will be a massive, landmark book that covers American military aviation from its beginning in 1908 through WW1 and into the immediate postwar period.
The book will have around 650 pages and more than 900 photos; think the Belgian Air Service book for size and detail. You will see photos of airplanes you've never heard of before, which should be fun. Bob includes serial numbers, technical specifications if known, and development history. Will provide more information when the layout is done.
Is everything on planning for this massive production?
