Previous Breguet's Crash Files
http://members.shaw.ca/flyingaces/br.crashfiles/

The rules:

1. All aircraft are of the 1914-18 period (Must have left the ground during this period).
2. The score board, link and rules must be copied to the beginning of each thread, so that we know where we are. The score board and the correct answer to the challenge must also be placed at end of each thread.
3. All "ACES" with a score of 5.0 or higher must obey the 3.0 hour handicap. All others with a score of ZERO to 4.99 may start immediately, if not sooner! Offenders will be dealt with severely!
4. To be eligible for correct ID an answer must include at least one characteristic of the aircraft that helped in it's identification.
5. And whoever wins this challenge will have to provide a new one! If this can not be done for any reason, please PM Breguet and he will take over as host!
6. If an ace gives the correct answer too early, the challenge is over, he gets no point but has to post the next challenge. In lieu of the fact that the "novices" have in effect been "cheated" of their "exclusive" time that next post should be a relatively easy one. Anyone repeating the correct answer at the right time gets neither a point nor the right to post the next challenge.
7. The final arbitrator of all things to do with the "rules" is Breguet.
8. In cases where the arbitrator's game answer is in question the decision rests with the current leader of the table.

For your Consideration:

One can tell from the twin boom layout, 2-bay wings, and wingtip profile that the one one the right is an Ago C.II. Fuselage of the left one looks something like Fokker D.I but I'm not sure of that.

Looks like we'll have to divvy up some points. Since there are 2 aircraft, I will count each one as .5 points. According to Die Königlich Bayerischen Fliegertruppen it is an Ago C I. I don't know how you tell the difference with the C II without seeing the engine so I will award .2 points each. richard B gets the additional .5 points for the Aviatik C I. richard B is now In charge of #730.

Albrecht is right, it's a C.I. I got confused because the only pic I have of the C.I shows unpainted or dark painted nacelles while several C.II pics show the white nacelles with the black centerline.

But the C.I had box radiators on the side of the cockpit tub, while the C.II didn't, and I'm pretty sure I can see the box radiators behind the guy on the right. You should have kept the contest going we were both wrong

Perhaps. Honestly, though, I have seen pictures of the Ago C I with and without the radiators on the side of the nacelle. I have also seen them with different shaped rudders and vertical stabs. It appears that the C I went through changes before it became designated as the C II. The last engine change seems to be the reason for the C II designation.

Gregvan might be able to educate us on the differences if he is viewing.
