Question on Nieuport 11/16 fuselage construction
Just double checking to see if I am correct in the construction of the Nieuport 11-16 fuselage construction. Forward fuselage walls were constructed from plywood back to the second rib, then covered in linen farther back. Would the floor be made in the same material? Wood as far back as the side wall and linen farther aft of that join line? And what material was the rounded uper fuselage from the cowling back to the cockpit coaming made from? either aluminum sheet or wood? And also were the access panels attached to the forward fuselage made from wood or metal?
Thanks
Dave
