Pilot Badge
This badge does not look real to me it looks like a cheap copy. It looks like it is silver plated copper with the copper begining to show thru . It also looks like a two piece which is evident around the edges. Originals were one piece and solid silver. there is alot of "Junk" out there. "Beware".

Badge
After looking at some of my badges i see there were some made in two pieces and there were some made of a base metal with silver laid over them according to Don Chalif and Roger James Bender. I always thought they were one piece and solid silver. I guess you learn something new everyday! Maybe a forum member by the name of Jim will comment on this he seems to be quite and expert in this field.

Sir, this badge was found by myself a metal detector a few kilometers from the airfield or kiel Emil had his squadron. doubt on this badge is not allowed, it is 100% original, it is myself who straightened..
I hope I have the information requested, : color plane Emil kiel, logo and photos of this lieutenant .. and other information on this soldier ... you have it participated in World War II ?

Hello, after some research, Albatross D.V Emil Kiel would look like this, he recovered the Albatros Lieutenant Leptien when he became squadron leader of Jasta 63 in 1918
I'll try to paint a model 1/48 with these colors.
I am looking for any information and pictures on this Lieutenant and jasta63

A nice find, indeed. I noted with interest the name "Juncker" on the back side of the badge -- the name of a famous jeweler in Berlin.
How did you manage to straighten out the badge without breaking it?
In any case, given what you had to work with, it's a nice restoration.

thank you,
precision work millimeters per millimeter, gently squeeze with pliers a wheel, I stuck the piece of leather on the pliers to avoid damaging the badge.
