In trying to learn more about a group of 15 naval aviators, including Robert L. Piper, Harrison Lagrande Goodspeed, and Eugene Lewis Wolfe, who arrived in Liverpool November 5, 1918, I came across a posting at ancestry.com by Piper's grandson. It is a page from either a book or a journal, apparently with the title "Contact!" (an image of the page is at
Contact page 204 photo by Kittykittycentric | Photobucket). Piper's grandson says the page was given to his uncle in about 2000 by someone doing research on early aviation. But Piper's grandson--like me--has had no luck finding it or any reference to it on the Web.
Can anyone tell me any more about this group of naval aviators? Or help me locate the publication? (I've also posted this query to the Books and Magazines section of the forum).
Thanks!
