Did Vintage Aero Fabrics pack up?

Hey All,

I've checked the website for about a week now. Looks MIA. Anyone have any news?

Hi all,

Dan, I believe Ross Walton sold all of his inventory to Vintage Aviator and has said goodbye.

Best,
Dave

Hey Dave_Watts,

Thanks. So they're gone. Wow. Anybody know where to get aircraft linen?

This is purely from a faulty memory but I think that the Smithsonian used linen from a company called Bookmakers in Maryland when they covered Smith IV.

I know who has a roll or two but I don't think he will sell because its for his plane.

Hey Butch,

I'll check them out, thanks.

Hey Laserlloyd,

Thanks, but I was just trying to do some price shopping, you know, ease into the sticker shock. I'm not even sure of the quantity I need yet. So if your friend still has that linen when I'm ready...

I know the Vintage Aero Fabrics is getting out of the business. Last july, they sold off the last of their unbleached linen.

They are also out of the 4 color lozenge, so I had to buy 5 color lozenge for my plane. I bought enough to cover my whole plane, and it just arrived yesterday.

The email exchange I had with Barry, there isn't much left to buy.... so If it is the five color you want, hurry.

I think they were the last distributor of aviation linen in the US.
