Question Difference between Kests & Keks etc.

G'day All. Can some of our German members please explain to me the difference between Kests, KuKs, KeKs etc & Jastas?

I know Jastas were Squadrons organised later in the war but the differences between the earlier names escapes me.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Kest- in british terminology those were home defence units equiped with scouts
KuK- is abbreviation for Keiserliche und Koenigliche, what ment Austro-Hungarian monarchy with dual leadership-Keiser (Austria) and King (Hungary)
KeK- were small subunits of Feld Flieger Abteilungen (FFA) equiped with scouts and were fondation from which Jastas were formed

Unfortunately i am not able to create a link to the old threads (rusty old generation) , where you could find some dates that i arranged already on that topic. So if interested go to my profile page >show all statistics >find all posts and there are on the second page (Kampfeinsitzerkommando=KeK and FA62 threads) two tables that are dealing with KeKs and reorganization of non-fighter units
