OTF Spring 2012

I just received my copy of OTF, and am just getting started with it . It looks like another great edition. There seems to be one problem...I can't find the end notes for the article on Fonck. Am I missing something or are they missing?

Also, a review of the photos accompanying the article about Robin Gray will demonstrate the question that I raised in an earlier thread concerning the use of RFC collar dogs on the maternity uniform...Most of the officers are not using them.

Well, enough time spent on this, I must get back to reading.
Thanks for a job well done.

Bob -

I haven't seen mine yet, but did get a heads up on it.

Yes, the endnotes are missing and will (I understand) be printed in an upcoming issue.

I also hear the design team flattered me by giving Russell Smith credit for my painting on the cover. Got a good chuckle from that ! Russ has subsequently asked if he'll get a check if I sell the painting

I also hear the issue is great and I can't wait to see it, but typically I seem to be the last stop for the USPS in N.J. Should be here any day now though...

Hello,

Yes, the footnotes/endnotes to the Fonck article were inadvertantly omitted from the issue. I screwed up. My apologies to Narayan Sengupta, and (as Mike said) we shall do our utmost to include the endnotes in a succeeding issue ASAP.

Also, my apologies go to Mike for the caption that, somehow, attributed his superb front cover painting to Russell Smith. I would imagine Russell is flattered by this mistake, but it's Mike's superb work....which I announced on the League's Facebook page and elsewhere some time ago. Sorry, Mike! We'll print a correction in an upcoming issue as well. I should probably get out of the editing biz.

Thanks again Greg for the apology, but completely unnecessary.

Let me know if you get out of the editing business - I'll stop painting !

All's good here - and just waiting for my next OtF assignment...

Great issue as always nonetheless. Appreciate the efforts that go into it. Thanks to everyone for confirming suspicion. Mike, my issue came quite some weeks ago, here in the land of Chicago sports fiascos??
