best history of aviation in 1914/1915???

does anyone know the best books and/or articles on the airwar in 1914 and early to mid 1915? Becausw of lack of air combat there is little material on the history of the recon aircraft and their role on the first 12 months of the war. Id be most interested in a grand tactical history as opposed to just after action reports on a single person or unit but anything helps. I have a great deal of books on the marne and frontiers but they only mention aircraft in passing. The ferko collection has little on the subject as well so i am lost. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Merry christmas to all

Roser wrote on 18 January 2011 that an English translation of his book would appear around October.

That sounds like it will be an amazing book. Do you know who's publishing it and if one can pre-order a copy?

Thanks,

so your books first printing will be this coming summer?? Military history press is the publisher (who has published 4 and will publish the 5th book my dad has written (napoleonics and american civil war)) We are currently working with the graphics producer on finishing some sample pages to put on the website and once they are up, along with a pdf of a complete chapter which will be accessable for free, there will be an opportunity to pre-order.

It is still a possibility however that I will have it published by flying machine press due to the fact that military history press continues to want to make cutbacks on the number of colorplates and color aviation art that I want in the book and I refuse to have it published any other way then how I want/have described to you how it will be. flying machine press has several books already published several books with hundreds of photos and color plates like how my work will be presented, so I know they have no problem producing a book with that much detail.

what will it be written like? Meaning is it a grand tactical history discussing both side ranging from many different units? Or is it more of a memoirs/diary/after action styled work where it covers a person or small group of people?
