I recently came across an interesting volume entitled
Gunther Plüschow - Airman Escaper Explorer by Anton Rippon. This book is a biography of Gunther Plüschow, from his earliest days to his fatal crash in the vicinity of Lake Argentino. Many forumites are aware of Plüschow's activities at Tsingtao, and some are also aware of his escape from Donnington Hall and his transatlantic sailing to South America, but this volume ties all these snippets of history together in a very readable and concise style. The book includes an interesting snapshot of conditions in a theater of the war which is relatively obscure to western readers. Since the author is not well-known in aviation history circles, I bring this book to the attention of those forumites who enjoy a good biography.
