Jon Guttman Question

In the bibliography of Jean Navarre: France's Sentinel of Verdun, it lists a paper that was written by Jon Guttman, I'm at work right now so trying to remember off the top of my head. The paper was called something like Verdun: The First Air Battle. Does anyone know if this was ever published or may be online somewhere to read?

Thanks,
James

It's been awhile since that appeared in one of the Western Front Association publications, but it is essentially a modified, autonomous excerpt from what I wrote in The Origin of the Fighter Aircraft. If you have a copy of that book, you have all of the same information.

Rats, unfortunately I do not have that book. Thanks so much anyway, Mr. Guttman as that would have been some great reading.

It should still be available through Westholme Publishing LLC, if not in your local Barnes & Noble. If worst comes to worst, I'll be bringing some with me to the Over the Front gathering in Monterey this fall, in case you happen to be in the neighborhood...

And by the by, at this time I am hard at work for Westholme on a "prequel," dealing with the development of aerial reconnaissance before as well as during the Great War.

Mr. Guttman, I will look for that book either through Westholme or online.

I look forward to your new book, whenever it comes out. Sounds like it will be a great one. By the way, I really enjoyed the book you did for Osprey on Groupe de Combat 12, 'Les Cigognes'": France's Ace Fighter Group in World War I. It was one of the best books I've ever read. Thank you so much for that book.
