Fokker EIII Full Size at Airdrome

Just noticed that Airdrome Aeroplanes now has a kit for the Fokker E III in full size! ($11K) No further info given, just on the order form.

They also show a Morane on the order form, but not on the aircraft description.
The Taube is shown as a picture but not on the order form.
The Sopwith Camel is shown as a picture but not on the order form.

I emailed Robert for more info, will report what he says.

Here is an older video of the full size prototype being first flown without a cowl to work out engine cooling. Like most all Airdrome planes, they have a very short ground run:

The full size replica is bigger than you thnk if you've only ever seen reduced scale Eindeckers.

Thanks for the link.
Dihedral looks wrong and what is up with the blue color?
Please tell me that this is just a primer...

This is the Morane:

It also had a "cameo" appearance in the movie "Amelia."

The Taube is the Dick Starks one... I don't know if they will ever kit that.

I've seen the full scale Eindecker up close at Gardner- it is bigger than you might think.

The Taube is a Dick Starks plane as well; it's presently in a museum since it had some teething problems that were never really sorted out.

Btw, Mr. Stark's books are well worth the time to read. Grab them over at Kansas City Dawn Patrol. They certainly gave me hope that as a common guy I, too, could learn to fly and can build a replica.
