A few years ago, I posted this diorama here. My interested are figures primarily- but I do like WW1 aviation. This was probably the first time I had built a airplane model in 15 years. It is the Hobbycraft kit. Much better than the Academy offering- by far. It depicts a Brit pilot that crash landed and nosed over his plane at the edge of a Hun trench. The title is "On a Wing and a Prayer at the Edge of No Man's Land"
I was a little intimidated by the concept and the rigging. In the end it all worked out. I used some photoetch from Tom's Modelworks; the pilot figure is modified from Pegaso. The dead German is scratch built. Most everything is painted with acrylics. The wood on the plane was painted with oils. I thought I would repost, as I am getting interested in maybe building a Wingnut Wings kit and thought you would like to see the dio again. There are some terrific figures out now too- has to have a figure! I have trolled around the site for a while, great work here. Thanks for looking, Matt
