Richthofen's hometown Schweidnitz became Polish after WW2 and is nowadays called 'Świdnica'. In fact it was difficult enough for the Richthofen-family to 'save' Manfred when the grave (in the Eastern part of the divided Berlin) was to be destroyed in 1975! Remember: The Berlin Wall ran over the
Invaliden-Friedhof.

PS: And "the Russians" (Sowjets) had nothing to do with the Cemetary in Świdnica/ Schweidnitz.
