Fine Art Paint Brush suppliers?

Does anyone know of any specialty fine art brush suppliers who carry "carriage brushes" made for long line pinstriping? I've wanted one for years, but have never come across a supplier for them.

hi rowan,
those are some nice, long liner quills, but carriage brushes are, as i recall, at least twice as long as those pictured. thanks for the link.

thanks for the good link, rexee. i've got a number of mack brushes i've had since the 1970's. always found it difficult to adjust to their short handles. i'm glad to see mack is now making some with longer handles.

found the page on brush hair composition especially informative.

Brush Information from Mack Brush

still, no carriage brushes, though.

Not familiar with the term "carraige brush". A quick google search turned up this: Soft Carriage Brush 9" (220mm) with Socket and 5ft Handle Bell Brush, Cleaning Products & Janitorial Supplies

but I'm guessing that's not what you're looking for.

I use a script liner, which I've sometimes heard called a "rigging brush" (by those nautical painting types). Its basically a tiny round. Don't remember where I got it. Its lasted me for years due to the fact that I only use it for one purpose which doesn't cause much wear on it. Anyway, browse these;

I have no clue about "carriage brushes" but I'd guess they are known by another name. What about pinstripers brushes?

Or check out the "Series #444 Virus II" about 2/3 the way down on this page-

Can you tell us what you want to do with these? Is it a scale or full size project?
