re8 questions?

i have the aeroclub re8 and have been inspired to begin fooling with it after looking at the wnw re8 instructions. i will use that as a reference to scratch build cockpit and other details. i notice that there is a observer control stick, but it is all the way against the wall of the pit. does it slide over on the rail when needed. also why is there no rudder pedals. if the observer were in the situation where he has to take control it seems that would be necessary. there are rear rudder pedals in my roden dh-9, also it seems many brit 2 seaters dont have seatbelts for the observer, usually the ones with the little round stool like seat.is that right or have model companies omitted these accidentally? its not just wnw that have done this it seems like many of my brit 2 seat kits dont call for seat belts in the rear position. to me this would tend to limit manouverability. anyone that has the answers would be great to hear from you.
