Fokker Eindecker 1/48

Hi guys and girls

I have just started working on the Eduard 1/48 Eindecker, and I was wondering if anybody could let me know where I could get some info on the cockpit detail and rigging details, I have the datafile on the E111, that's has some brilliant reference, I was looking for more if it was out there......

Thanks in advance

Dave

Hi Dave,

The E.III datafile is a pretty good reference. What exactly are you looking for?

This site has very good detail photos of the E.III in London's Science Museum:

Fokker Team Schorndorf's replica build is a good resource:

Hi Josef

Thank you very much, both of the websites you put up have given me the reference I require, all I wanted to do was to add the control wires and other detail the was not included in the kit that I can add without making a complete mess of the kit, thanks again.......

Don't forget, as Josef Scott informed me the bottom of the fuselage should have an open hole in it, there were doors in the wooden floor that could be opened to look down through the hole when landing. The Eduard kit must be cut to get this feature correct. I cut the hole larger than actual and made a newer lower fuselage panel from .010 styrene with the accurate cut out and glued it into place. Try to find a photo of the bottom of the E.III forward fuselage and you can't miss this feature. For some reason none of the kit manufacturers have gotten this feature correct. (can't comment on the 1/32 scale BattleAxe kit but the Aurora, Revell 1/72, both old & new Eduard missed this feature)
