WingnutWings DVa

Afternoon All;

This is my first post on the Forum, I've just completed a WNW Albatros DVa it is the aircraft DVa 7353/17, Hans Joachim Hippel, Jast 71, August 1918 (2 victories), this is only the 4th 'stringbag' I've built, so please be gentle with me, all comments gratefully received.

Cheers

Pete

Excellent model! The wood finish is particularly well rendered. I have managed to resist moving to 1/32 scale so far, but every time I see a WNW kit build my resolve weakens.

I would recomend the WNW kits to anybody, they are superb, but you have to be careful as they are quite delicate in some places.

I used Vallejo Model Air for most of it, for the wood I used a base of Vallejo Model Air Radome Tan then a mix of Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna and Raw Umber oil paints, mixed 1/1/1, for the prop I added some Burnt Umber to the mix to darken it down.

Pete,
Lovely to see you here @ the 'drome'. May your stay be long and your stringbags be many!

Beautifully rendered DVa you have sitting there - Well done, mate.

What next?
