Kings Lynn air raid january 19th, 1915
Can anyone shed any light on the origins of this song....it related to Kings Lynn in the wake of the Zeppelin raid;
'The Zepps, they are here at last,
In a place that you thought they would pass,
In a night it was clear when they raided by air
and the murderers delight in their task
In killing a woman and child
In a poor undefended town
And the damage they done, quite delighted the Hun,
As he spread to Berlin with the news.....
But wait til he comes here again
He won't find things quite the same
With Jack Tar to pass, with guns here at last
He'll find two can play the same game.
With aircrafts and warships elite,
He won't have a comfortable seat,
He'll go back to Berlin, with a different grin,
The next time he comes to Kings Lynn.
Does anyone have any information on the songs origins?
