Is this an original Albatros photo from the Great War?

Searching for pictures of my favourite WW1 warbird, I found this picture,
showing an Albatros in flight. Now, the background looks rather painted;
no ground can be recognised; but the aircraft and pilot look like they were
really photographed in flight.
Does anyone know anything about this picture, the craft and it's pilot?

My Gallery
A very interesting photograph.

Hi Olham:
I think that this photo, may be of a Alb.D.III from a Marine Feld Jastagstaffel. What is interesting is the five color pattern on the upper wing and elevator. On the upper wing the 5 color day pattern is both the dark upper pattern but there are two panels of the light lower pattern. The upper surface of the elevator is covered with the light lower surface pattern. The panel patterns on the upper surface of the upper wing are left to right: dark, light, dark ,dark, light and dark patterns. To my knowledge, I have never seen this done before.
Blue skies Olham,
Dan-San

Now that you said it, I see the different brightness of the top fabrics.
Perhaps the picture was even taken to test, if the "camo-sheme" works well.
I have meanwhile traced back, where I had found it; here is the link:

Image Bank – Canada Aviation and Space Museum

In the frame: aircraft, I had typed in: Albatros
and got lots of pictures. Among them was the above; they named it a D.V,
but did not present any further information.

Thank you, DanSan; and all the best!

Olham
