You are the only one who see's the ice, and the assumed 'danger' on these deadly slopes you would have us all beware of -----is not real, and seems to be more a strange figment of your imagination.

How many times have you railed against minor little issues like this, and how many people have you alienated in the process------I wonder..

I think that's a reference to the slippery slope that ends in shelves of unopened boxes, folders of fascinating decals, and a head full of dreams not started

Richard

Sorry, yes, I went there after posting what I did above. Looks like I was wrong.

Richard

Although I do have a head full of dreams not started myself...

Just checking here;
1. This is a free forum?
2. Views can be reasonably expressed?
3. There is a report button on each post?
4. The moderators are not warning John to stop?
5. No one left anyone else incharge?
6. Personal attacks are not ok?

Conclusion:
Hhhhmmmm maybe someone should get off John's back. I'm jus sayin.

Yeah I have nothing against John commenting on people posting that they have an ad in the classified section, but I also don't think there is anything wrong with noting it here! as a modeler I do not often look in the classified section, but almos every day look in the Models section, so if something I'm interested in catches my eye I'm all for it! It may even make me go look at the classified section to see what he's selling on ebay. No harm done.

Well, as the originator of this thread I suppose I should "defend" myself against these allegations of profiteering from this MODELLING website, though I'm sure most of the good people that read these posts would wish it not necessary....

I could have listed my wares and taken the inevitable criticism but I only posted a notice so that interested parties would find the items. I infrequently visit the classified section here as do most people and the auctions only last ten days.

If the forums mediators prefer that the selling or promoting of products is to be effectively banned then we would no longer hear of Loon Models, upcoming etched brass sets, Microsculpt (hello, Stephen!), etc and the site would be poorer for it...Not one rule for one (relative newbie) and another for the established "Old Guard).

Modellers love buying stuff - get over it!!

How many times have I read here that Americal decals or Eagle Strike were sorely missed?

John, if you spent as much time on your wonderful dioramas as you do "Lording it" over perceived indiscretions on this site you'd get more finished....smiley face.

Thanks for the support from you other fellow enthusiasts,
Yours, Richard
