Friedrich Karl's D.I

Seems like the more research I do the more confused I get! I have seen color plates showing the white background for the crosses on the wings of this aircraft having been overpainted in pale green, some not. Anybody seen any "official" documentation? Also, my own thought .... Was the underside pale green also, or was it left pale blue?? Thanks.

The machine had several owners including the Prince. It was painted then repainted partially at different times. See the last image of the book pages at this link.

Alb. D.I-Va book.

Thank you Mr. Lawson. I have the Kagero book and it shows the white painted over. The Kagero colorplate seems to show an even border on the crosses. (Was the white painted out to comply with the directive doing away with it, maybe?) Another ref. I found on line today suggested that only the fusalage was pale green and the upper wings were still 2 tone camo and bottom was pale blue. Like I said, the more I research .....
